We wrote this review months ago and just realized it never posted when we went to invite Sarah and Brandon over to see the newly remodeled house. We were first-time buyers not expecting to buy, but we'd been casually going to open houses since 2020 and came across a house we couldn't say no to. We had almost no knowledge of the home-buying process. Working with the tandem of Sarah and Brandon is a real advantage, they each bring their own insights and strengths. We offered a few days before Thanksgiving, and through the holidays they walked us through every step and stayed responsive the whole time, including after hours and on weekends. They set up inspections, compiled the reports, and explained them clearly. Two things stand out. My wife is a doctor, and Sarah and Brandon participate in Homes for Heroes, which returns a percentage of their commission to healthcare workers. They offered this after we were already committed. Also, when we traveled over the holidays right after closing, Brandon went to the house himself to put a bucket under a roof leak, even though the transaction was already done. We'll definitely use them again for our next real estate transaction.

Working with Sarah Arlington, our real estate agent with Rooster Homes, was a very fun and educational process for first-time home buyers. We were a little nervous and a little hesitant, but we were really eager to get into our first home, and Sarah made sure that we knew what we were walking into. For every home that we viewed, she had statistics on everything and made sure that we were comfortable and we weren't taking any steps that we weren't ready to take.

As a firefighter, working with Sarah Arlington and using the Homes for Heroes program made sense because they offered incentives, where at closing, we get money back just for doing the job that I love. Working with Sarah added an extra bonus because she was a great resource. Sarah was super knowledgeable, always coming to every showing with data-driven resources.

With Rooster Homes and the Homes for Heroes program, we saved over $5,000, but really our savings with Sarah is the invaluable knowledge and expertise she brought to the negotiating table. Sarah negotiated seller credits, which helped us with the home buying process. She made it a lot easier, and now we have extra money in our pockets to start out with this next chapter in life with our new home.

I would recommend Sarah Arlington with Rooster Homes and Homes for Heroes to any firefighter or any first responder looking to purchase a home because she already has an investment in first responders. Through this process, I learned that she's already sponsoring her local fire station; building rapport with local first responders is already there. I would say that she is very well invested in healthcare workers, teachers, and medical professionals from all types of first responders that you don't get to hear about on a daily basis, and it's always good to have someone go to bat for the community. She is my hero!

Moving is one of the top three stressors, but not when you do it with Rooster

Back in May, our list was three bedrooms, two baths, and a yard for our dog, all by September 1. We ended up with four bedrooms, four baths, a pool, and a quarter-acre lot, and we were in two weeks ahead of our own deadline. Pulling that off while moving from Canada to Los Angeles still feels a bit unreal.

Brandon and Sarah helped us choose a neighbourhood and line up houses to see on a very short timeline. We looked at Silverlake, Los Feliz, Pasadena, and Glendale, and ultimately chose Glendale. They were punctual, clear in their communication, and genuinely kind in every interaction.

Their negotiation skills were impressive, and we saw them firsthand. They dropped off a gift basket and then helped us negotiate with the gardener, which was certainly not in their job description.

We highly recommend Brandon and Sarah and would use them again. A true hero whether you're making an international move or moving around the corner.

My wife and I met Sarah and Brandon by chance as we were starting to look at homes early in 2022. It was a major stroke of luck, as we quickly realized we had found two outstanding agents. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional service provided by Brandon and Sarah during the probate sale of my brother's condominium. Why does it let me only choose 5 stars??? MORE ARE NEEDED FOR SARAH! Sarah impressed me when we met at an open house and had so many insights into the buying and researching process. She comes PREPARED! I signed with her and she showed me (and my very picky mother) tons of properties. It was more of a challenge as my mom has Parkinsons and we wanted to find a place where she had accessibility concerns met, plus enough privacy for the both of us. When we found the right place, she gave me excellent advice, walked me through the chaos of buying a house for the first time, and since purchasing the house, she and Brandon have given me so much time and thought into all the questions that have popped up for me. Buying a home might not be 'easy' in LA, but Sarah & Brandon made me feel so supported that once I found the right fit, I was educated & supported enough to feel confident in my choices. I am incredibly grateful for the dedication, advocacy, and compassion Brandon demonstrated throughout a relatively challenging transaction. We had a uniquely challenging rental situation, and the ROOSTER team handled it with professionalism, persistence, and care from start to finish. Our home in Mount Washington was still under construction when we needed to list it. In addition, the property includes an owner's unit on site, which can sometimes raise additional questions for potential renters. To make things even more complicated, our listing went live right as the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays began, arguably the toughest time of year to bring a rental to market. My partner and I met Sarah at one of her listings while looking for a new home in LA (moving from Chicago). While that specific unit wasn't a perfect fit, Sarah's style as an agent was. He offered some helpful suggestions for increasing the chances of selling our house, and explained how his team works to increase the chances of selling quickly. So when our first listing expired, there was no question but that we would ask Brandon to be our agent. He then arranged a meeting for us with the team he works with. We were extremely impressed with their plan for our house, and their responsiveness at arranging meetings with various needed vendors (e.g., painters, contractors, stagers, movers). Brandon continued to be completely responsive and detail oriented throughout the listing and selling process. We would definitely list with him again, except that we have now accomplished our goal of moving out of the area before the end of 2019, thanks to Brandon and [his team].

Brandon is a gem! My wife and I bought a home in Glendale with his help and the number-one quality we value about him is his integrity. He IS a great communicator, IS very cool under pressure - his patience was tested several times by the seller’s agent and he handled it like the pro he is - and he was always there to give us his professional and personal opinion. But, more importantly, he always reiterated that we had to make the best decision for us, even if it meant that we might not go ahead with the purchase. Brandon is excellent at what he does, and always has a positive demeanor about him which makes a stressful process so much easier. I live a relatively busy life so I don't have much time to devote to researching properties nearby when trying to move. With Brandon helping me out, he'll send me dozens of candidates everyday via email that fit all my requirements for housing and will even research open house times and locations so that we can view 3 or 4 properties together when I have a day off.
