  • Griffith Park is the neighborhood's back yard. LA Recreation and Parks lists it at over 4,210 acres, one of the largest municipal parks with urban wilderness areas in the country. Park roads are generally open 5:00 am to 10:30 pm daily. Source: LA Recreation and Parks.
  • Griffith Observatory is free to enter. The building and grounds are a free admission facility, though the parking closest to the Observatory is paid. Trailheads on the grounds lead toward Fern Dell and the Greek Theatre area. Source: Griffith Observatory.
