Los Feliz Blvd and the Griffith Park edge

Los Feliz Blvd is residential along most of its length, and the shops closest to it sit at the north end of Hillhurst. Albertsons at 2035 Hillhurst is the nearest grocery run for the streets above the boulevard. Griffith Park itself begins just north of the road. Good to know

  • Parking. Street parking is the norm on Vermont and Hillhurst. Albertsons has its own lot. Read the posted signs, since several blocks have permit or time limits.
  • Hours change. We link to each shop's own site so you can confirm hours before you go.
  • Small shops close early. Most of the independents above close between 5 and 8 pm. Skylight Books is the exception at 10 pm.
  • Events. Skylight Books hosts author readings, Lou Wine Shop runs weekly tastings and La Luz de Jesus opens a new show most months. Each site posts its calendar.
