About Los Feliz Animal Rescue

Los Feliz Animal Rescue is a small, hyper-local nonprofit dedicated to helping animals in and around the Los Feliz neighborhood.

While many larger rescues focus on pulling animals from shelters, Los Feliz Animal Rescue concentrates on animals that have been abandoned or left behind on neighborhood streets. The organization was originally created to support individuals who were already stepping in to help animals locally, and over time those grassroots efforts expanded into a full foster-based rescue network.

“LFAR believes that if every community came together and took care of the animals that need help in their area, the world and our pets and wildlife would be happier and a whole lot healthier.”
